Road Safety Campaigns

by Radu Panciuc on April 1, 2009

In the last period of time I have noticed that more and more countries started having campaigns related to Road Safety. I managed to gather some of them and, in this post, I plan to share with you the most relevant for me.
The latest one comes from Australia and I found out about it through @etherfast. The reason I chose to post this video is pretty straight-forward: it explains, in a very easy way, something that most probably all of us studied in school – physics. But this time it’s physics for dummies and, most probably, has a bigger impact on our lives than what the school material once had.

The following 2 campaigns come from Romania and Great Britain. Both of the videos are quite powerful. The Romanian one pinpoints the consequences of one’s reckless driving on other people (Maybe you’re still alive, but can you live with this?). On the other hand, the British one focuses on the consequences of not wearing a seat belt.

Both of these videos were previously posted on this blog here (RO) and here (RO).
It’s good to have these videos in mind, especially in those moments when we feel like pushing the gas pedal a bit more, or we don’t buckle up.
